Colours

Post by K »

Black

The quilted blanket-blindness of
Ill youth.
The breathless sealing
In of sleep.
Of nursery rhymes too
Dark to read at night and your
Matted-morning eyeliner
Thick as oil.

Blue

Like the sea; your shades multiply
In extortionate light; your spectrum
Blind-sides the waves of emotion.
You crash into me, buon fresco
Dulled by collision, too blue.
Way too blue.

Yellow

Shocking sunflower eyes
At the .am we prefer only
To dream about. Our sallow
Skin, paltry veins and dead
Cows breath drove us into the
Sun, where we gleamed together.
Until neighbours twitched and
Phones found their own particular
Ring... ... ... earthly mother tones.

Like your unusual selection of colours K - Black, Blue and Yellow.

But I suppose that they are the main mood colours, and you do use them well.
