Plots and Roses

Post by Attilathehun »

Plots and Roses by ME Hazim Ziyadah

like the value of a pricless heaven,,
and a grave yard so dark inside,,
like a green bay surrounded by roses,,
and a deep sea with waves that drown you,,
a play with unconditional romance,,
and a plot with unsolved mystery,,
my life as i wander by it,,
and i see myself a stranger,,
like a knight unarmed,,
and a judge without wisdom,,
like the stars uncountable,,
and the sun that no shadows hide you from its light,,
just by looking at me you think you'd tell,,
what my face can always hide,,
but my heart will never lie to me,,
unsorted dreams should carry my life on,,
but the twisted ends can never meet,,
while the plots always existed,,
and we never thought of solving them..

I started writing lately,, i am 18 years old.. i would be thankful if who ever reads it tell me what they think..

Hi Hazim,

I really like your Plots and Roses - and like the title. Very good indeed, especially for an 18 year old !

Lovely poem, especially the line about ' a green bay surrounded by roses', that's a lovely mental image. Keep on writing and well done, all the best, Val (Amity)
I have written poetry since childhood(most of which went in the bin), but recently started reading at open mike nights at my local. I have just published a (very short) book of 11 poems and have written childrens stories for my grandson, Tyler.

You're welcome. It's really hard to be self critical, and even harder to write something for other people to read if you havn't done it before. It's a bit like giving part of yourself away! You use words well and that's the most important thing in poetry, I think. Look forward to reading more of your work, all the best, Val (Amity)
