Be Like A Flower

Post by enigma »

days pass in a flurry
like men to war
nothing new to see
seen it all before.

we're waiting for death
as we do a train
complaining and muttering
ignoring the endless strain.

lifes lived so unconsidered
like the underside of a leaf
interested in what's visible
not what's underneath.

we see pretty people
like flowers on a moor
we pick what pleases the eye,
the rest we trample and ignore.

ignorant of our ignorance
as the blind cannot see the blind,
how many have failed and died,
for themselves they did not find.

we should be like a flower
limitless in its fantastic display,
rather than staying enclosed,
and falling into decay.

You need to dislocate yourself from the rhyme thing, you'll be much better.

Forced rhyme is like forced cabbages under glass; there just about all-white
