So that was where we decided to leave things, just like that. no explanations, no fighting, no tears, no nothing. i suppose you could call it a full stop. end of an era, and yet, somehow, it felt like... well, like I was free. It had never been what you would call tempestuous. I think seldom few would even describe it as interesting by their standards. however, as it stood, every ounce of energy we had ever thrown at this, was now well and truly buried in the backs of our minds. without another word, without prompt, we both chose that exact moment to turn and walk away, neither knowing wether the other had chanced a backward glance. neither knowing if time had been wasted, or had merely run its course, but one thing i do know, on that day, at that moment, the future looked a little brighter for me, and it was that thought that inspired me, compelled me even, to allow the following events to occur.

Sorry for the delay in coming to the site, but I’m very busy at the moment doing a creative writing course via Hull Uni.

There are only about 150 words in what you wrote, but they are so intriguing. The reader is asking what happens next and that is always good. The other question is Why! The reader also wants to know why and how, these two people had come to reach this event

This is a very good piece of story writing, I really like it.

I especially like the opening - which in one sentence packs almost the whole story setting and quickly grabs the readers interest to continue reading. Excellent writing. But you didn't put any idea to continue, no one can add extra to continue this. Because its your personal opinion "no explanations, no fighting, no tears, no nothing. i suppose you could call it a full stop."
But really I like your thinking.

so a year later and I find these comments, that is somewhat amusing. I never realised any one had commented, and frankly I had forgotton about this post. However , having just read them, I must say I feel very flattered that you have complimented my writing. Thanks. Maybe I should try and write a story in full sometime??
