And all the feelings that I felt,
Were never real, they slowly melt,
Away like distant memories of yesterday.
I see your eyes no longer shine,
Your hand is slipping out of mine,
I reach for you, but watch you walk away.

My yesterday built from regret,
Cant turn time back, so now I let,
You go to set you free from all this pain,
Fight the tide of tears inside,
To make you mine, each time I tried,
Like standing in the desert catching rain

As you walked away from me, I feel you letting go,
Maybe baby, too late now, I just need you to know.

Id bring you flowers,
Serenade you,
Keep the promise,
That I made you,

And tell you each and every single day.

I would trade,
Until forever,
For a moment,
Spent together,

Only still I see you turn and walk away.
