One ego fantasy type song that I really like is Duke Of Earl - this site's http://www.wilmots.me.uk/grimsby-poets-corner.php has part of its lyric and a bit to listen to. (Its a bit like a more sensitive version of the 'Seventh Son' song which is on the Chain Gang post here) ;

(I thought I remembered the main start line being 'As I wander through this world', maybe some direct or indirect link with the William Wordsworth poem 'I wandered lonely as a cloud' ?)
