AD LIB. writing this without pre planning.

Post by Rybo75 »

As you may have guessed, I am going to try and pen a short story off the cuff. it is now 22:21. wish me luck lol.

Forever. That was the word that featured in my mind the most. Forever. FOREVER. There were no two ways about it, this was definitely not forever. neither was it never, and the fact that it had been at all, was better than not, admittedly, but I had been promised forever, so at this moment I felt a little cheated. I mean, I do hope you don't get me wrong, I am overjoyed that I had been able to spend but a moment lost in those eyes, and I would have traded a lifetime without her, for a mere second in her arms. Honestly though, at this particular moment in time, I am cross, no, much crosser than cross, frustrated, mad, angry. Yes angry, and I would like to point out, I am not normally an angry person, many would describe me as chilled, laid back, a real cool customer. yep, thats me, Mr cool calm and collected.
Anyway, I digress, the point is I promised her forever, I looked into those eyes, my soul melted and I knew, somewhere in the core of my being, I knew, we would be together untill time stood still. we had shared the belief that destiny had thrown us together, that maybe we had shared former lives together, that maybe the here and now we knew, was simply the latest chapter, so to speak, in a long list of times our souls had found each other. Soul mates. And this was not all one sided, oh no. she held my hand, stroked my cheek, told me she loved me on many an occasion. not with the "I love you"'s of a cheap valentine card, the empty sentiment that is just a repition of three words, no sirree. NO, when she said I love you, the hairs would rise on the back of my neck and I felt a rush, a tingle down my spine. I knew she meant it. I felt she meant it. we were meant to be. Forever.
I knew I had let her down the last time she told me. when she last held my hand, when she last touched my cheek. I could see she was hurting, the look of loneliness creeping into those eyes, the tears that rolled down her cheeks, she was afraid. Frightened, lonely, heartbroken, it's not a good look on a girl, but on my girl, well, you could have ripped my heart out and jumped on it, and it would have hurt less. I just wanted to tell her not to worry, tell her it would all be ok, Tell her I loved her. I tried. Oh how I tried. I pulled every ounce of strength I had left, every morsel of energy , every last breath, and I looked at her and I held her gaze. "Baby, I LOVE YOU, FOREVER" and as I whispered my last goodbye, all I remember is a cold darkness that followed. Now I watch as she brings me flowers, and as she still shares her secrets with me. and I hope, and I pray, she realises I spend every second of every day by her side, watching over her. waiting untill we can be together once more, and finally we can find Forever.

Well thats all folks, its now 22:40 and thats what came out. hope you enjoyed it. cheers.

I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE YOUR COMMENTS GOOD OR BAD. THANKS.

Hi Rybo. I think this is a very good piece of writing, though death is not my favourite subject and nor is heaven. But you did present the thoughts and feelings well.

Thanks, I thought it was a bit odd too as it happens,I had no idea where it was going, i certainly never thought ok, I will write about a dead persons outlook.

just an experiment to see what would appear on the page before me.

Also, I don't think it is written particularly well, but I have learned from it, and I will get better ha ha.

thanks for taking the time to read and comment though, much appreciated.

If you are writing something on a computer, try turning the screen OFF while you write.
Can help the ideas flow. Tho when done it may well need a spellcheck and/or edit.
