Where has she gone
The girl from yesterday.
Who took away her laughter
And swept her heart away.
Who trampled on her feelings
Then discarded her with ease.
Who left a crumpled shell behind
bedraggled on her knees.

Together we lay in waves of love
Our limbs entwined it feels so good
On whispered breath, our thoughts we speak
Contented souls in love so deep
If we had wings so high we'd fly
Dropping love dust from the skies
To share with people all around
The happiness that we have found
Only once does life bestow
A love like ours that is so true
