Can I live off the winnings?

Post by John A Silkstone »

Received an email today informing me that a flash story that I submitted is in the top twenty of the competition and will be published in the next issue of Secret Attic http://www.secretattic.com/ I also won the first prize of £10 in the poetry section and the winners of the short story competition will be given out in a weeks time.

Hi Silky,

I have just been looking over that Secret Attic website and it does look very good for anybody interested in writing, especially for aspiring poetry or short story writers.

PS. Do not spend all you prize money in one go !!

I'm saving the money for 30 seconds worth of heating over the winter.
