Exclusion songs - Rag Doll, Hang On Sloopy

Two 60's songs I do like are Rag Doll and Hang On Sloopy, both about girls being put-down for being poor. Rag Doll is maybe better suited to a weak-willed singer who lets family and friends run his life, and Hang On Sloopy suits a stronger-willed singer more prepared to do the right thing ?
