This great song was a very big hit for The Police but Its lyric phrases 'You belong to me' and 'I'll be watching you' maybe makes it something of a creepy stalker's men-rule song more than the love song that many took it as being,
At least the first of these lyric phrases, if not maybe both, would be better replaced with 'You belong with me' for an actual love song a bit more like The Hollies excellent Sorry Suzanne below ?
